Our practice was founded in 1958 by Dr. James E. Daniel. A Paintsville, KY native and first generation college goer, Dr. Daniel attended the University of Louisville on a football scholarship. After receiving his undergraduate education, he remained at the University of Louisville to receive his D.M.D. Upon completion of dental school, he moved to Ashland, KY to begin practicing. There was no one who loved dentistry more than Dr. Daniel Sr., but what he loved most of all was spending time with his patients. His larger than life personality and infectious laugh are just a few of the things his patients loved most about him. After more than 35 years of practice, Dr. Daniel Sr. sadly passed away in 1996. This wasn't before instilling a love for dentistry and people in his son, Dr. James E. Daniel II, who began working in the practice in 1991. After graduating with his D.M.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, Dr. Daniel II, continued his father's legacy by providing excellent dental care to the Tri-State area. After over 30 years of being the solo dentist in the practice, Dr. Daniel II is joined by his eldest son Dr. Wesley Daniel who also graduated with his D.M.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. 

Our dental practice is a family practice in the truest sense of the word. Dr. Daniel II's wife, Cheri, can be seen around the office, either behind the front desk, or taking care of insurance claims. Dr. Daniel II's youngest son, Reed Daniel, has his own construction and remodeling business in the Ashland area. He can often be found, tools in hand, ensuring the office is in tip-top shape.
